Climate Overview
China spans from subarctic conditions in Heilongjiang to tropical in Hainan. The vast size creates enormous climate diversity. Beijing has cold, dry winters and hot, humid summers. Shanghai is milder but very humid. Western China (Tibet, Xinjiang) has extreme continental conditions.
